The Federal High Court, sitting in Jos, on Friday sentenced a 26-year-old man, Jelje Danladi, to three months imprisonment over the illegal possession of 199.9 grammes of cannabis.
Danladi was also found with 250 grams of Tramadol, a psycho-tropical substance.
He was first arraigned on July 10, but pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of illegal possession of the drugs.

The prosecuting counsel, Sarah Oketola, tendered the exhibits, certificate of test analysis, request for scientific Aid form and the accused person’s confessional statement.
The items were tendered through her Witness, Ezekiel Yusuf, an exhibit keeper with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Jos command.
The Judge, Justice Lewis Allagoa, sentenced the accused to three months imprisonment on both counts.
