LMC Fine Giwa FC N3m, Deduct 3pts and Also Ban Two Players

The League Management Company have sanctioned Giwa FC and two of their players for their roles in the abandoned match day 38 fixture against Nasarawa United last weekend in Lafia, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Jos-based outfit had refused to continue with the game on the 34th minute forcing the referee to call of the match at the expiration of the first half.

The players, Amos Gyang and Nojeem Raji, had on seperate occasions refused to retire to the dressing room after being expelled for initial violent behaviour.
The club was fined N3m and had three points deducted from the already accured points, while they will also forfeit three points and three goals to Nasarawa United for the abandoned game.
Gyang who was sent off for assaulting a ball boy in the game was fined N50,000 and suspended for two matches.
Raji who was accused of punching the centre referee in the face after he was issued a red card was banned for eight matches.
The club and the players have the option to accept the decisions of the LMC or opt for an appearance before a panel and any of the options must be communicated to the league body in writing within 48 hours.
